Let’s get this party started!

I (Sooz) am wildly excited to announce the secret project that my dear friend Kat Brauer and I have been working on for the past month. It took lots of hard work to build this, but it will totally be worth it.

Behold the Mighty Pens, where writing and charity intersect!

So WHAT is it exactly? Well, our goal is to harness the passion of writers during National Novel Writing Month to raise money for the Malala Fund!

It’s like how runners get miles sponsored in a charity race, but instead we (and I hope YOU!) will get words sponsored. Brilliant idea, right? Totally Kat’s brainchild, and then I begged her to let me be a part of it…because I’m pushy like that. Together we’ve built something truly awesome.

We’re calling on all writers to join us! It doesn’t matter what your experience level is, nor must you reach that elusive 50,000 word goal of NaNoWriMo (I’m only aiming for 25K!). We’re just hoping you’ll be a part of this community and help us support girl’s education around the world.

The more we write, the more we raise!
