Read below to learn more about how wildly productive and inspiring Kailey is!
What is your favorite book and/or author, and what draws you to them?
My favorite book is actually Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always loved this book. I collect different versions, have a tattoo for it, and keep a poster on my wall. I feel like I connect well to the world and the characters, and I think that’s why I keep re-reading it, even now.
Is this your first book? If not, what was the first book you ever finished writing?
The first book I ever finished writing was handwritten in a hot pink spiral my freshman year of high school. All I’ll say is that it was an absolute, grade A disaster.
What’s the working title of your NaNoWriMo17 project?
I Know You’re Lying
Share your favorite line/short paragraph from your book so far.
If feeling Right was happiness in a bottle, feeling Wrong was pouring that bottle out, breaking it over your head, and stabbing you in the throat with the jagged remains.
How did you hear about the Mighty Pens?
From Susan’s newsletter!
What inspired you to join the Mighty Pens?
I think it’s a great cause to raise money for, and it’s always good to be a part of a community of writers. Plus, it’s another motivation to actually hit my writing goal every day.
Congratulations again, Kailey!! And keep on doing what you’re doing!!
