Word Warrior of the Week: Best Kiss
The time has come for your votes for Best Kiss amongst our Mighty Pen word warriors. Only two this time (no kissing in your stories? Interesting…), but they’re both magnificent, so get to voting! Please just choose your number in the comments. Voting will be open until 6pm ET on 18 November!

“How did he even get to you?” he demanded.
Sera’s heart raced at the memory, at the way Oswald—then disguised as Finn—had leaned in and kissed her. She turned away to hide her rising blush. “I don’t know.” When he made no reply, Sera finally looked at him.
He was grinning mischievously. “You were never a good liar.”
“And you happen to be a terrible kisser,” she blurted.
“Oh?” Finn reached for her and pulled her against him. “Let me show you what a real kiss feels like.”
And so he did.

Maybe it was the wine, maybe it was the corset, but I got dizzier and dizzier in the best possible way. At the end of the dance, I stumbled, my momentum carrying me until I nearly fell. He turned again to face me and caught me with his other arm. I flung my arms around his neck to hold myself upright and kissed him before I could talk myself out of it.
<3 Both of these are AMAZING. It’s so much fun to be able to read snippets of everyone’s work. Let us know your favorites, and stay tuned for next week’s Word Warrior contest.
