Poet of the Void
Valia, a magician able to look into the future, battles alongside magicians of fire, earth, and wind to defeat the mysterious Voidwalker who threatens to destroy them all.
Excerpt
To Valia the Essence appeared as an endless stretch of mist, thick and thin by turns, beyond which stretched a universe she could never fully explore. Arriving in Berovka, standing at the prow of the boat as it cut through the ice of the Lerunden River, she had found a place that reminded her of the space she could reach in her mind. White had cascaded beneath her while mist rose all around, caressing pristine snowy banks.
Distantly she sensed the presence of the other Poets, their magic humming tones in the air. Janna’s was a low note on a cello, smooth and warm, and Behru’s the high dissonant flat chirped from a flute. There were voices here, wisps of sound ebbing beneath the static of Valia’s heartbeat and her own slow exhales.
They were not here for the voices. They were here for the shadow.
