Silver Pen: Paths by Casey
I’m so hype to introduce our next Silver Pen, Casey! She’s gotten past that 15,000 word hurdle, and (I’m sure) is ready to conquer the next writing tier. YOU CAN DO IT. Check out a snippet from her NaNo project, Paths, below, and be sure to send her your congratulations. The squeeing is real, fam.

Dean glanced at the other girl. “Hi.”
She looked at him. “Hi,” she said quietly and Dean could sense the fear she was trying to keep buried.
“I’m Dean. This is Renie.”

“Dean,” he said, but relented at how exasperated she looked at that answer. “Dakamar. Dean Dakamar. My dad’s Sorin Dakamar.”
For an instant, she looked like he’d punched her in the gut. “What?”
He shrugged uncomfortably. He’d never outright told someone that. Never had to.
<3 <3 Keep doing the thing with the stuff! You got this.
