Mighty Pens Check-In 4
THERE ARE THREE DAYS LEFT IN NOVEMBER.
I just needed to shout it, in case you didn’t know. Or in case you’re like me and just sitting here, looking around, searching for all the lost time. Seriously, where does it go?
So, yes, this is the very last stretch of NaNoWriMo and the Mighty Pens this year. Which means, this is the last official during-NaNo check-in. (Say it ain’t so??) We will be sure to update everyone with final numbers after the windows close, but for now, I just gotta be in my feels for a minute.
Okay, this is taking longer than expected. Here are the ding-dang numbers.
Fundraising Tally
WE ARE SO CLOSE! There are only a few days left of NaNoWriMo, but in fundraising terms, that means there is still plenty of time to make it to our goal! (Don’t forget that you’re allowed to donate to your own campaign if you haven’t already 😉)
$9,200 for Every Mother Counts
If you make it to 50k words this year, be sure to brag about it all over social media so your friends and family see how cool you are and feel obligated to celebrate. We can’t wait to see where we end up on the 30th, but for now, we are so excited for all the work that everyone is putting into raising money for this wonderful cause!
Also: Our last prize day is on the 30th! If you’ve hit a new milemarker by then, don’t forget to come claim one of so many amazing prizes! There are still lots of books, critiques, and other fun stuff available. Check out the list here to get ready.
Word Count Tally
I can’t wait to see how many more wins you all pull out over the next few days, but for now I am just in awe of all the words we have written together this month. We killed it, y’all. (So much so that I am embracing my Southern side and saying “y’all.” A momentous occasion, indeed.)
Over 973,000 Words Written
Every little bit helps and each week this number explodes and it’s all because of YOU. Writing communities are seriously amazing if you look at it like that. We all are a part of something bigger here. And we deserve to celebrate that. I hope to see everyone at Kat’s end of NaNo party, just so I can personally salute you. To the Mighty Pens!
May your last few days be bountiful and may your emotions stay in check.
Go forth and write!
